JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Regional manager, vacancy for a Warehouse/ Store Person to maintain Beacon Communications Southern Warehousing Facility. Based in the modern, conveniently located both M3 and rail network, at Trade City Business Park in Sunbury upon Thames. Small but busy warehouse with rapid turnover, receiving multiple incoming deliveries throughout the week. Interface and preparation of site build packs for our team of in house Field Engineers to achieve a challenging Telecoms site build and upgrade program..
Beacon Comms currently employs in excess of 200 people and is a National Mobile Telecoms Contracting Company with 4 facilities covering the UK and contracts currently with a number of UK Mobile Operator Networks.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Preferred - Minimum 1 year warehousing experience.
  • Preferred - current Counter Balance Forklift Certification but training can be provided.
  • Preferred - current First Aid Cert but training can be given.
  • Essential - Basic computer literacy, simple spreadsheet, etc.
  • Essential - Full Current UK driving licence.

Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of a safe, secure and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Daily warehouse management and housekeeping.
  • Regular safety auditing of warehouse environment.
  • Interface with Beacon Project Managers to ensure sufficient stocks are maintained for current build program
  • Liaising directly with suppliers of rigging and electrical consumables requesting quotes and raising purchase orders.
  • Safe use and daily management of counter balance forklift and pallet truck.
  • Receipt and logical storage of deliveries into warehouse.
  • Calling off and stock control of 3rd part customer equipment.
  • Stock allocation using “Tracktrans” software tool for daily collection by Beacon Field Engineer Teams.
  • Occasional on the day site deliveries.
  • Regular bulk equipment deliveries between Beacon offices.
  • Efficient warehouse waste management include cardboard baling.
  • Programing of routine maintenance of Beacon vehicles.
