POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented, proactive and out-of-the-box thinking Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a current Counter Balance Forklift (LF) and Order Picking Forklift (LO) licence, and will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse. Experience in the eCommerce space is highly desirable. Additionally, the candidate must have a valid driver’s licence, and it would be advantageous to have a licence for larger vehicles.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and inventory control.
  • Experience in the eCommerce space is highly desirable.

SKILLS:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Receiving and Inspection: Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists. Report any discrepancies or damages to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately record and manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems. Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Order Fulfilment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications. Ensure all orders are processed efficiently and accurately.
  • Forklift Operation: Safely operate Counter Balance Forklift (LF) and Order Picking Forklift (LO) to move, stack, and organise products within the warehouse. Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues.
  • Warehouse Organisation: Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment. Ensure products are stored in the correct locations and are easily accessible. This may include safely lifting and moving objects, standing, walking and performing repetitive tasks from time to time.
  • Ad-Hoc Deliveries: Make ad-hoc deliveries to large customers as required.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Comply with company policies and regulations, including health and safety standards.
