About the Opportunity


The Warehouse Storeperson is responsible for efficiently and safely picking, packing, and placing delivery orders, maintaining stock locations, completing quality checks, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with stock take. The role requires a high level of attention to detail and adherence to procedures, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.


Main Duties and Responsibilities


  • Follow the related work instructions, to correctly pick, pack and place delivery orders in the safest and most efficient manner
  • Liaise with Customer Service regarding any incomplete or outstanding customer orders and delivery requirements
  • Ensure that finished goods are packaged to an acceptable standard, are within warehouse shelf life limit, and are appropriately stacked within the finished goods area with correct labels
  • Loading and unloading of trucks including the ability to manage and monitor the flow of all materials
  • Compile all necessary documentation during the day in readiness for the following day
  • Ensure daily safety checks are completed on forklifts
  • Maintain a polite phone manner with customers/transport companies and internal/external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and courtesy towards work colleagues and customers
  • Be self-motivated with the ability to communicate effectively in a team environment as well as operate independently when required
  • Correctly complete administration tasks/duties within required timeframe
  • Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operation of warehouse activities.

What You Bring


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, with knowledge of basic goods receiving, order compilation and dispatch procedures
  • Possession of a forklift ticket
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment advantageous
  • Capacity to work effectively in a small team environment, meet deadlines and to follow tasks through to completion
  • Basic organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Physical capacity to undertake manual handling
  • Numeracy and literary skills
  • Basic computer skills.
