JOB SUMMARY

As a Warehouse Supervisor , you are responsible for leading and coordinating daily operational activities within an assigned department of the Distribution Center (DC). This role ensures the effective execution of inbound or outbound workflows on a shift, supports continuous process improvement efforts, and upholds safety, quality, and productivity standards.

SKILLS

  • Strong background in inventory management and control within a warehouse setting.
  • Proven experience in warehouse distribution practices and logistics operations.
  • Proficient in operating forklifts and other materials handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce fulfillment processes is highly desirable.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 is preferred.
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
  • Solid understanding of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety practices.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to communicate verbally and work cooperatively with employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move merchandise weighing up to 35 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to grab, reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crouch in order to retrieve and/or replenish merchandise
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs in order to retrieve and/or move merchandise
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and variable shifts as needed
  • Must be able to work in a physical warehouse environment that may include noise, temperature fluctuations, and mobile equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

· Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of employment.

  • 2–4 years of supervisory experience in a distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS), MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams in high-volume, multi-shift, deadline-driven environments.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence change and drive measurable results.

  • Ensure execution of standard operating procedures (SOPs), productivity goals, and quality benchmarks across departments and shifts.
  • Monitor departmental KPIs and performance outputs during assigned shift to ensure operational continuity.
