THE ROLE JD Sports is on the lookout for a Warehouse Supervisor (AM Shift) to join our Distribution Centre and lead from the front in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. Shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm (Monday & Tuesday to 2:15pm, remaining days to 2:00pm) This is a role for a hands-on leader who thrives on pace, takes ownership of results and knows how to get the best out of their team. You’ll lead day-to-day operations across key warehouse functions including Inbound, Picking, Replenishment and Despatch, ensuring we deliver accurately, safely and on time every time. Working closely with the Shift Operations Manager, you’ll drive performance on the floor, build a strong team culture and continuously look for ways to improve how we operate. From hitting daily targets to maintaining safety and quality standards, you’ll play a key role in keeping our warehouse moving and our stores and customers supplied. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Lead, coach and motivate your team to deliver daily productivity, accuracy and service targets Own real-time performance on the floor, allocating labour and managing workflow to meet demand Drive a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance and leading by example Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and process adherence across all operations Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to increase efficiency Support onboarding, training and development of team members Monitor team performance, attendance and output, providing clear feedback and direction Work closely with systems and automation to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations Escalate any risks or issues impacting performance, safety or service WHO YOU ARE An experienced Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader with a background in logistics, FMCG or manufacturing A hands-on leader who is comfortable being on the floor, leading from the front Proven ability to manage teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong communicator who can engage, motivate and influence frontline teams Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and adapt quickly Committed to safety, quality and operational excellence A natural problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset Experience with warehousing systems or automation - Dolfin or like system highly regarded WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
