Warehouse Supervisor - Livingston
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our well-established client within a busy furniture warehouse in Livingston.
This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who is confident overseeing a busy operation and supporting a team to ensure the warehouse runs efficiently.
The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day warehouse operation, with the warehouse team reporting directly to the Assistant Manager. We're looking for someone who is hands-on, organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced furniture environment.
Shifts:
- Monday to Friday: 1 Saturday every 3 weeks
- Rotating shift pattern: 6:00am - 3:00pm/8:00am - 5:00pm/ 10:00am - 7:00pm

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as a Warehouse Supervisor will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the warehouse
- Supporting and supervising the warehouse team
- Ensuring daily workloads and priorities are completed efficiently
- Working closely with the Assistant Manager to ensure smooth warehouse operations
- Allocating tasks and supporting the team throughout the day
- Loading and unloading furniture and deliveries where required
- Ensuring furniture and other products are handled and stored safely
- Supporting stock control and warehouse organisation
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and Health & Safety
- Helping to resolve any operational issues as they arise
- Ensuring the team work efficiently and meet daily targets
- Leading by example and getting involved in the hands-on side of the operation
Essential Skills:
The skills required as a Warehouse Supervisor are:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, supervisory or team leader position
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Confident working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Positive attitude with a willingness to get involved
- Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience within a furniture, removals, logistics or distribution environment would be advantageous.
- Experience supervising a warehouse team and handling furniture or other bulky goods would also be beneficial.
Training:
- Full paid site induction and ongoing support will be provided.
