WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking a proactive, ambitious professional who works independently and has a strong sense of responsibility. You are socially adept, have strong communication skills, and can lead a team of people effectively. You are flexible in your approach to meeting the diverse needs of your team to achieve desired results. Additionally, you are resilient to stress and prioritize a mindset of continuous improvement. You excel at maintaining a holistic view within a dynamic environment. You understand the needs of our customers and can respond promptly with your team. Key requirements include:
- Vocational college (Mbo+) or higher education (hbo) level;
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a similar role within logistics;
- Knowledge of warehousing and automated information systems;
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and processes;
- A strong sense of responsibility for your site and team;
- Flexibility regarding working hours.
Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE
We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for our bol.com team in Nieuwegein. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee a logistics process (either inbound or outbound) at our distribution center in Nieuwegein. Together with 4 or 5 Assistant Supervisors, you will lead a team of 40 to 80 employees, ensuring safety standards, quality, and productivity goals are consistently met.
In this role, you and your team will continuously work to optimize work processes, striving for the highest levels of quality and productivity. You will also proactively identify any deviations in the processes, which you know inside out, and initiate improvements in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
The position operates on a two-shift schedule. One week, you will work 6 days (Sunday to Friday, from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM), and the next week, you will work 4 days (Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Your day off during the 6-day shift is flexible and will be planned in consultation.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will be responsible for:
- Planning, coordinating, and overseeing warehouse activities with a focus on providing the highest quality of service to the customer;
- Identifying deviations in productivity or quality levels;
- Continuously improving your team/department and participating in projects aimed at improving the organization and our processes;
- Maintaining close communication with the Operational Support departments (strong communication skills);
- Working according to Lean principles, including knowledge of 5S, and handling HR-related matters (sick leave, performance reviews, etc.);
- Managing administrative tasks (reports, KPIs, skill matrices);
- Reporting on the actual deployment of personnel, equipment, and resources and providing advice to the Operational Manager;
- Monitoring KPIs during planned expansion.
