EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Educated to a minimum GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics or equivalent
  • Previous experience within a warehouse/production environment (desirable)
  • Previous supervisory experience (desirable)
  • Knowledge and awareness of HSE regulations, risk assessments and training documents.
  • Experience in Navision would be advantageous - however training will be given.
  • IOSH would be advantageous – however training will be given.
  • MHE forklift certification for VNA / CB and PPT trucks (desirable) - however training will be given.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are constantly gaining new business, and our Distribution teams are now ready to bring in an experienced Supervisor to help with the uplift in volumes seen. This role will be a new position, and we welcome those with experience from a fast-paced warehouse where customer service is paramount. To perform multiple duties associated with working in a warehouse, distribution and production environment at a supervisory level. A keen eye on safety, stocks, accuracy and review of processes/ways to improve efficiency will be key to the success of this appointment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Supervising the packing and boxing of goods in box room and also goods out PM in accordance with set procedures.
  • Ensure all staff are trained across various roles within the warehouse function. Ensuring all roles are covered at all times during absence / holidays.
  • Ensure all MHE users have completed their safety checks in accordance with their training. Responsible for maintaining and keeping a file on the checks required. Ensuring faults are reported and to update the check sheets with the repairs – closing off all issues signing off.
  • Ensure that all quality regulations and requirements for the operation of boxing area and goods out on PM shift are maintained at all times.
  • Organize and manage materials for boxing of the goods post ETO. Maintaining up to date stock levels of cardboard for using in box room and sister sites. Working in conjunction with both day shift and procurement teams to ensure stock levels are maintained.
  • Assist with the creation of risk assessments, work procedures and then ensuring all warehouse operatives are adhering to at all times.
  • Supporting in accident investigations and collating of witness / non witness statements
  • GMP and Clean as you go GMP standards. To be responsible for GMP at all times. Reporting all issues to facilities and or MHE contractors.
  • Responsible for ensuring all departmental KPI`s are managed and reported daily.
  • Conducting all RTW interviews and 1-2-1 appraisals in line with company processes.
  • Responsible for the performance, attitudes, aptitude and conducts of all team members.
  • Supporting over departmental teams across the warehouse.
  • Picking orders for customers, stock transfers internally and to our northern hub, cross docking / receipting of orders, transfers, and stock movements.
  • Liaising with Transport dept on vehicle routing / plans.
  • Loading / unloading vehicles.
