WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We’re looking for a positive and energetic person who pays attention to detail, to work in the Warehouse Operation at site in romford. The ideal candidate will have significant knowledge of the warehouse function with proven supervisory experience at supervisor level or above. They should have a desire to exceed expectations on service and delivery. the ideal candidate will be able to ‘hit the ground running’ and be confident in managing a team and taking ownership in a very fast paced distribution environment. This is an excellent development opportunity for the right person. You will be supervising a small team of around 6/10 people.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· A person with good understanding of warehouse RF scanning systems is preferable.
· Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisory role.
· focused Health and Safety.
· sufficient amount of experience with Warehouse Management Systems in the past / present. business central would be an advantage.
· Stock management. Consistent and regular stock counting and stock taking activities.
· Take full responsibility for materials coming in and the booking and quality checks to the standards set.
· Monitor and control stock levels including FIFO for all materials.
· Working alongside transport.
· The ability to manage a small group of warehouse operators/FLT operators.
The capability to take ownership of an operating distribution shift
· A current counterbalance FLT license (Gas).
· Maintain housing standards.
· Develop training programs and train others in warehouse tasks.
· Adhoc duties.
.liaising with other departments and depots to maintain good communication, resolve challenges or issues and to share best practice in ways of working
Experience:
You’ll be supervising the Operation unloading, picking, preparing, and putting away stock. This means getting stuck in with the day to day working of our Warehouse.
The job will include the supervision of:
You’ll be given support and ongoing help. Orders need to be despatched on time and without mistakes.
