EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fully proficient in the use of Sage
  • Fully proficient in the use of IT, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • A full UK Driving Licence
  • A Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence
  • A recognised Health & Safety qualification or good knowledge of)
  • First Aid at Work trained
  • Fire awareness and Fire Marshall training
  • Legionella duty holder awareness training
  • Ability and knowledge to source parts
  • Familiar with engine brands – preferably from the automotive background
Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for all stock accuracy and quality within the warehouse
  • Maintain a tidy and professional working environment with an emphasis on health and safety and compliance.
  • Ensure procedures are in place for maintenance of all equipment and aspects within the warehouse
  • Maintain the lifting equipment register and ensure the equipment is tested at the correct intervals via an approved test facility
  • Control engineering tools and be accountable for the calibration of certain tools
  • Ensure all equipment within the workshop, engineers vans and offices are PAT tested
  • Control and implement necessary and mandatory policies and procedures, to maintain company and legislative standards, ensuring full awareness
  • Promote a positive Health and Safety and quality and environmental-oriented culture within the warehouse
  • Any additional duties as required by the business
  • Carrying out daily/weekly stock checking
  • Liaise with suppliers and deliver outstanding service
  • Ensure that all parts functions are actioned correctly and efficiently
  • Order and receive goods into stores recording electronic data and administrating all paperwork.
  • Pick all parts associated with orders and ensure stock levels are kept at a good level to supply first class service to customers
  • Monitor parts supply and expected arrival dates, record, and report to line manager.
  • Create and maintain professional relationships with all suppliers.
  • Assist with the purchasing of parts from new and existing suppliers ensuring value for money
  • Ensure all parts and consumables are sourced from preferred suppliers in the first instance, maintain profitability when ordering outside of these parameters.
  • Provide reporting to the Senior Management Team as requested.
  • Create and maintain professional relationships with all suppliers and internal and external customers
  • Participate actively in Health and safety meetings.
  • Utilize SAGE to control stock movements.
  • Conduct weekly & monthly walk round premises inspections including weekly fire alarm check.
