JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring efficient processes, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. This role requires a strong background in warehouse management and logistics, with a focus on continuous improvement.

SKILLS

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role.
  • Can operate forklift truck.
  • Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques and equipment operation, particularly forklifts.
  • Excellent understanding of logistics processes and supply chain management.
  • Ability to implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff effectively.
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
  • Experience in shipping & receiving procedures within a warehouse setting.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Manage team performance through effective training, motivation, and development of staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment as necessary.
  • Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage logistics effectively.
  • Oversee the handling of heavy lifting tasks while ensuring proper techniques are followed.
  • Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimise shipping and receiving processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using AS400 or similar systems.
