DESCRIPTION

We are a leading wholesale distributor to the Fish & Chip industry and our business is growing at a fast pace. To help us ensure we continue to offer the very best levels of service we are recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor at our Bristol depot.

The right person will have the dedication and flexibility to work in a varied role to support the depot management developing a strong team of warehouse staff and drivers. Ideally you will have some experience of supervising or leading a team in warehousing and logistics. However, we would also like to hear from experienced warehouse operatives who are ambitious and keen to progress with a logical, hands-on approach and are willing to apply themselves to whatever is required to get the job done! You will be hard-working with a desire to learn and an ability to use your initiative to improve yourself and the company.

  • This is very much a varied “hands on” role, working primarily in the warehouse and supporting all areas of the depot operation.
  • Supervision of warehouse staff on site.
  • Picking accuracy within the team in line with KPI targets.
  • Completion of driver De-Briefs and stock returns.
  • Supervise Goods Inwards with accurate receiving of deliveries.
  • Actively promote H&S compliance of the site.
  • Work with the Depot Manager / Assistant Depot Manager to ensure depot operations are operating within all company procedures and relevant regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience of leading a small team.
  • Customer focused.
  • Good all round I.T. skills including experience of WMS – accuracy is highly important.
  • Experience of working in FMCG environment
  • UK driving license.
  • Forklift truck license – (preferable but not essential as training will be given)
  • Must live a commutable distance from the depot.
Responsibilities

  • Routine stock counts – Ambient and Frozen
  • Regular aisle / location checks
  • Aged stock reporting
  • Damage Control
  • Returns
  • Investigate picking errors identifying root cause
  • Drive picking performance
  • Site maintenance and cleanliness
  • Continuous Improvement mentality
  • Promote and encourage Clean As You Go Policy
