Healthy Pet is currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at our Jesup, GA location. The Warehouse Supervisor is Responsible for safely and efficiently receiving, handling, storing, tracking and shipping materials and products in a cost-effective manner. Key Responsibilities Ensures strict adherence to safety policies and procedures and compliance with state and federal regulations. Regularly conducts or participates in safety and training meetings. Monitors and maintains an organized, clean, and safe work environment by performing facility audits. Participates in the creation and maintenance of warehouse performance standards. Creates and maintains reporting systems to monitor performance and accuracy. Tracks and trends productivity and ensures warehouse efficiencies. Proactively coaches and constructively motivates staff to meet and exceed objectives. Develops and implements procedures to ensure materials and products are properly received, stored, and shipped in a timely manner to meet customer and production requirements. Ensures compliance with customer load requirements and company policies and procedures. Performs on-hand materials planning to ensure sufficient levels of raw materials are available to support scheduled production. Facilitates customer interactions and on-time delivery with a goal of zero defects. Oversees inventory control, data management, and processes. Reviews, organizes and maintains physical systems with a goal of waste elimination. Ensures smooth transactions and accurate record keeping. Conducts monthly physical counts and reconciles variances including month-end and year-end inventory. Analyzes and plans inventory cycle counts to be conducted by the Warehouse Lead. Balances staff assignments based on expected volume and monitors progress to ensure tasks are completed in a timely and cost effective manner. Minimizes labor overtime and expenses. Builds and maintains a positive team-oriented work environment. Promotes and facilitates interdepartmental teambuilding. Organizes racking and floor space using storage design principles. Identifies and implements improvements. Meets warehouse financial requirements by providing costing information. Monitors expenditures, identifies variances, and implements corrective actions. Takes initiative in seeking out cost reduction initiatives in warehouse purchasing and storage options. Monitors and makes arrangements for equipment maintenance and repairs. Verifies forklift and HAZMAT certifications are held by appropriate staff, as required. Participates in the selection of new employees. Plans, assigns, trains, supervises, and evaluates work of staff. Conducts performance evaluations to guide the development of employees and provide a record of performance. Ensures effective employee relations. Initiates and documents disciplinary actions as approved by HR. Promotes lean principles. Works with other departments and assists with the creation updating and implementing of process improvement procedures, tasks, workflows and systems. Documents and maintains a manual of current procedures and tasks explaining responsibilities. Organizes, updates and maintains databases, records, and other documents. Prepares correspondence, reports or other documents, keeping others adequately informed. Assists with loading and unloading of trailers as needed. Uploads orders to Transportation Management System through Shipment File Upload. Ensures accuracy of information contained within upload file. Monitors, plans, and reconciles shipments within the Transportation Management System to ensure correct carrier selection, mode selection, and shipment information. Performs other duties as assigned. Ideal Candidate has the following: Associate degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Six years of experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment, including three years of related supervisory experience. Experience with LEAN manufacturing. MS Office proficient and experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred). Ability to apply sound judgment, creative and logical thinking to identify solutions to problems.
