Depending on primary area of assignment (shipping / receiving), this may include order processing for customers or for production, shipping to customers or external warehouses, material preparation for shipping or production, material delivery to production or raw material tempering. Both areas will require inventory control for portions of the inventory and system process related to inventory movements and supervision of personnel. You will also need to collaborate closely with various internal departments such as Customer Operations, Inventory Control, Manufacturing, Operations, Planning and external partners. About the Team… The Plan & Deliver Team is comprised of diverse individuals who bring a wide breadth of knowledge and experience to ensure we have the right materials, at the right time to support our customers. This includes the movement of raw materials, forecasting our finished goods needs and movement of goods between warehouses. When customers place their orders, our team ensures the items are delivery on time, in full and per the customers specifications – making high quality, safe, and nutritious foods for babies and toddlers! About the Work Environment… Most job functions are performed in a well-lit, environmentally controlled office environment. Associate may be required to work in an environment that requires hairnet, beard cover, safety glasses, hearing protection and lab coat. Restrictions include wearing of jewelry, nail polish and acrylic nails. Other personal protection equipment may be required for certain tasks. Through continuous safety and loss control, we can accomplish this. What You’ll Do… * Monitoring and controlling material movements. Includes the preparation and staging of product for shipment / production, correct storage of on hold materials, quality sampling, materials released for use and ensuring all movements are timely and accurate. * Leading the process for efficient flow of materials including the scheduling of shipping / receiving appointments.  * The scheduling requires the management of available personnel for loading/unloading and available dock doors to ensure materials are shipped or received when needed, transportation providers are not unreasonably restricted or impacted and will include the management of union and non-union personnel. * Ensuring there is adequate inventory at outside warehouses to meet customer / production demands. This includes ensuring transfers are created, loaded, shipped, and received timely.  * May require monitoring and controlling material preparation including staging product for tempering and staging/handling fresh ingredients to ensure all materials are ready when needed for production.  * Working with Inventory Control Analyst to monitor inventory for accuracy and remaining shelf life and taking required steps to correct.  * Ensuring safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Processes are adhered to in all operations. You remain effective even in the face of uncertainty.   What You’ll Need… * 5+ years of supervisory experience in related field * Associates degree in related field and 2 years of supervisory experience, or * 3-5 years of supervisory experience in related field * Technical ability to work within highly complex and dynamic manufacturing & warehouse environment * Practical experience with Lean principles * Experience and/or exposure to ERP/WMS systems What’s in it for you?
