JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking to hire an experienced full-time Warehouse Supervisor for our Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec terminal. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating day-to-day warehouse operations, to make certain of a best practices approach. NB: This role embodies an exceptional career opportunity for a person familiar with a variety of transportation vehicles, equipment, service requirements, and transport legislation.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Handing out & distributing assignments to the warehouse staff.
• Coaching and counselling warehouse staff to overcome any barriers affecting productivity.
• Assist the Manager to ensure that the warehouse is adequately staffed and that personnel are properly trained to carry out their work in a safe and competent manner.
• Work with the employees to ensure a safe work environment consistent with relevant legislation and company policies.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, budget targets and contribute to the growth of the company in a pro-active manner.
• Work closely with customer service to provide the best possible service for our customers.
• All other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience – leading people, product scheduling etc.
• Well-organized, punctual, and computer literate—with an emphasis on spreadsheets and email applications.
• Previous experience within the Warehouse/Transportation/Logistics Industry is mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
• Proven problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to achieve operational goals.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle several complex tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to take ownership of issues and problem analysis, decision making and resolution.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and courteously with other staff.

DESCRIPTION DU POSTE

Nous sommes à la recherche d’un superviseur d’entrepôt expérimenté à temps plein pour notre terminal de Vaudreuil-Dorion, Québec. Le ou la superviseur(e) d’entrepôt est responsable de la coordination des opérations quotidiennes de l’entrepôt, en assurant l’application des meilleures pratiques. N.B. : Ce poste représente une occasion de carrière exceptionnelle pour une personne ayant une bonne connaissance des différents véhicules de transport, de l’équipement, des exigences en matière de service et de la législation du transport.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum de 2 ans d’expérience en supervision – gestion d’équipe, planification de la production, etc.
• Bonne organisation, ponctualité et aisance avec les outils informatiques, en particulier les tableurs et les courriels
• Une expérience préalable dans les domaines de l’entreposage, du transport ou de la logistique est obligatoire!
• Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite
• Solides compétences en résolution de problèmes et capacité démontrée à atteindre les objectifs opérationnels
• Capacité à travailler sous pression et à gérer plusieurs tâches complexes simultanément
• Sens des responsabilités, capacité d’analyse, prise de décision et résolution efficace des problèmes
• Aptitude à établir et maintenir des relations de travail efficaces avec les autres
• Capacité à travailler de façon efficace, efficiente et respectueuse avec les collègues
