Job Function - Warehouse Operations
Employee Type - Regular Employee FT Salaried
Shift/Hours – Overnight - 10:00pm-6:00am
Salary - $76,500-$80,000

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Experience and/or education in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a unionized storage or distribution environment required
  • Be a leader, a good communicator, and be familiar with the application of a collective bargaining agreement in a unionized work environment
  • Ability to look forward to recognize potential issues and create a plan to correct
  • Possess excellent organization and time-management skills
  • Ability to make sound recommendations based on systematic evaluations
  • Ability to provide guidance, motivation, and training for development of the team
  • Ability to cultivate, manage and foster a diverse team of employees
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and SAP computer tools

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of warehouse employees, while respecting budgetary constraints
  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing health and safety policies and regulations
  • Supervise a warehouse team consisting of shipper/receivers, recyclers, cleaners and lead hands
  • Oversee the storage of, and the shipping and receiving of goods
  • Work with the supervisory and management team to develop a work environment that promotes good working relationships and ongoing communication with unionized employees
  • Develop and apply control methods to maintain a high level of labour efficiency
  • Take part in any other related projects or tasks
