Description Role and Responsibilities · Lead and supervise warehouse staff, including warehouse associates, material handlers, and forklift operators. · Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure a productive and cohesive team. · Oversee the receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods in the warehouse. · Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and reconciliation. · Coordinate and prioritize the picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders. · Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to meet customer expectations. · Supervise the operation of material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks. · Schedule and oversee regular maintenance of warehouse equipment. · Enforce safety regulations and procedures to create a safe working environment. · Conduct regular safety training for warehouse staff. · Optimize warehouse layout to maximize storage space and efficiency. · Monitor and adjust storage configurations based on inventory levels and operational needs. · Provide regular updates to management on warehouse performance and any issues or concerns. · Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of warehouse activities, including inbound and outbound shipments, inventory levels, and workforce productivity. · Generate reports for management on key performance indicators. · Provide training and development opportunities for warehouse staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. · Identify and address performance issues through coaching and counseling. Requirements Qualifications and Education Requirements 4 or more years of experience. Preferred Skills · Ability to lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff. · Strong decision-making skills and the ability to take charge in a fast-paced environment. · Clear and effective communication with team members, other departments, and upper management. · Ability to convey instructions, expectations, and updates to the warehouse team. · Quick and effective problem-solving skills to address issues such as delays, shortages, and discrepancies. · Proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges. · Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected challenges. · Willingness to adjust strategies and operations based on evolving business needs. · Capability to identify training needs and provide ongoing development opportunities for warehouse staff. · Mentorship and coaching skills to enhance team performance.
