About the Role You’ll be supporting essential industries and helping our trade customers get the materials they need to work effectively every day - building relationships as you go. So being good with people is a must. This position is responsible for the overall performance of the warehouse/distribution centre, including: Overseeing the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely despatch of goods Ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are met Ensuring productivity targets are met This role offers a path to advancement within our branch network and you’ll be supporting essential industries and helping our trade customers get the materials they need to work effectively every day - building relationships as you go. Participate in the establishment of satisfactory inventory levels in pursuant of company goals by overseeing stock control and order processing. Ensure quality, delivery and budget objectives are met. Maintain the effective layout of the Warehouse/Distribution Centre. Ensure the development of systems and adherence to procedures for operating and managing physical facilities, human resources, and equipment in a profitable manner. Plan, direct and implement warehouse operations and administrative support to meet company service goals. Security and maintenance of grounds, building and all warehouse and office equipment. Communication with Sales / Customer Care on customer related issues and inventory management. Oversee planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment, as well as overall company grounds. Ensure cleanliness and security of the work environment. Be the primary contact for all site maintenance and consumable requirements. Other duties as required Skills and Experience Customer service experience is essential, along with confidence, initiative & enthusiasm Clean drivers’ licence and some general computer skills Forklift licence is essential You’ll be team player with exceptional safety awareness.
