Description
In the Warehouse Team Lead role, you will help coordinate all warehouse work of receiving incoming material, perform appropriate inspections, improve warehouse practices and procedures, and drive accountability of other warehouse employees. In this function you will: Ensure a safe and productive work environment for all employees through 5S+ strategies Develop cross training schedule so that all tasks are understood and covered by employees Lead project to transform from a pull to a push model of materials delivery Document Non-Conforming Materials (NCMR) Maintain accuracy of inventory and investigate discrepancies Work with supply chain manager to balance workloads for all associates Monitor and resolve NO Bin and Negative Inventory Collaborate on innovative ways to maximize available storage space. Lead daily meeting and escalate issues or concerns. High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution Minimum of one (1) year's experience in warehouse/receiving role Valid driving license required to operate company vehicles Associate degree from an accredited institution Preferred of three (3) years' experience in warehouse/receiving role Position Criteria: Familiarity with inventory processes and continuous improvement Interpersonal communication skills: Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility within and throughout all levels of the organization; provide ongoing coaching and feedback, manage through conflict, and strive for continuous improvement. Strong managerial courage and ability to work through resistance and pushback to change. Strong drive for results is essential, with self-directed leadership, requiring minimal supervision & being proactive. Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, changing environment.
