Summary/Purpose
The Team Lead is responsible for supporting and assisting the Warehouse Manager and is also responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse facility, maintaining inventory accuracy, and adhering to safety protocols.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
  • 3-5 years’ related distribution experience
  • Counterbalance forklift license (valid)
  • Raymond Reach license (valid)
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, EXPECTATIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Delegating the daily work of warehouse staff, providing guidance, and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with warehouse associates the picking, packing, and shipping of orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory integrity by conducting cycle counts, reconciling variances, inputting data.
  • Review daily orders which include all Small Parcel, LTL and Automotive shipments for accuracy (transportation method, specific instructions, etc.) and sort orders by priority (expected date)
  • Review and prepare large customer orders; liaising with CSRs and SAMS for accuracy prior to shipping.
  • Consistently demonstrate an approachable and appropriate communication style with employees, with the ability to clearly summarize opportunities and issues, as well as help problem solve.
  • Assist in training new warehouse employees on operational procedures, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
  • Participate in Health & Safety initiatives relevant to the assigned work area, review corrective actions and preventative measures.
  • Ability to perform every position in the work area.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; attending classes/courses to be decided in conjunction with management.
  • Other duties as assigned
