QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong knowledge and experience in Warehouse activities.
  • Minimum of GCSE Maths & English C grade or above / stores related qualification
  • Highly organised with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office specially excel, word and outlook
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Forklift experience (Aisle master & Counterbalance) or willingness to learn
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Warehouse activities.

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

As a Warehouse Team Lead you will work with a small team, making sure that warehouse operations meet goals and targets of quality, service, safety and morale. You will play an active role in problem solving and continuous improvement of warehouse processes. It is an ideal role for someone who has experience as Team Leader in medium size teams and understands warehouse operations.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures (health & safety; Racking inspections; quality; hygiene; HR; etc.).
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the Stores Team, providing guidance, coaching and support to ensure a high level of performance to ensure delivery of works orders, production objectives and KPI’s, whilst fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
  • Ensure the uninterrupted supply of materials, resources, and products to meet production requirements, whilst maintaining stock supplies for future planning and accurate stock records on SAP
  • Investigate stock discrepancies and report detailed findings to the warehouse manager and purchasing.
  • Daily monitoring of the TAG inventory system.
  • Co-ordinate and schedule department resources, including staffing, assigning tasks to ensure a high level of output to meet the department demands on a daily and weekly basis
  • Communicate with external suppliers and logistics providers to ensure material deliveries slots are coordinated with internal demand requirements. Manage off site stock call offs supply.
  • Aid in stock verification and rectify inaccuracies to stock: including regular cycle counts & stock takes.
  • Co-ordinate and schedule department resources, including staffing, assigning tasks to ensure a high level of output to meet the department demands on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Effectively communicate with the WH Manager regarding the performance of the Stores Team.
  • Co-ordinate the receipt of incoming materials and supplies, inspecting them for quality and quantity, keeping accurate records using inventory software systems.
  • Provide cover on shift during holidays and sickness that will impact production.
  • Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is kept within the Warehouse using 5S.
  • Control the flow of incoming/outgoing vehicles/materials associated with the Warehouse.
  • Liaise daily with all other site departments to ensure the smooth running of the production areas.
