Description

Rapid Personnel are working with a storage, fulfilment and distribution company based in Basingstoke, recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader to join their team.

  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Must have previous FLT experience.
Responsibilities
  • Complete their own picking and packing tasks when necessary and are the first point of call for employee queries and issue resolution.
  • Review, prioritise, and release orders and schedule the various ancillary activities taking into account availability of resource and attainment of service levels.
  • Communicate with the Client Services team daily to agree lead times and address any issues to help solve any problems with shipments.
  • They undertake the end-to-end process of stock takes (i.e. organising labour, counts, data consolidation, investigations and presenting conclusions).
  • Action ad-hoc requests, such as quality checks.
  • Fully investigate any stock losses, damages or concerns and provide a report on findings to line manager. They escalate more complicated issues to the Warehouse Manager as necessary.
  • In the event of picking and packing errors, the Supervisor completes a full investigation and reports back to their line manager.
  • When required, the Supervisor deputises for the Production Manager and completes additional responsibilities such as locking/unlocking the premises.
  • Providing a leadership support function to teams and motivate staff to achieve production goals.
  • Provide training and coaching of staff when needed.
  • Ensure all health and safety measures are adhered to by all team members.
  • Maintain high levels of professionalism in all communications with colleagues, clients and site visitors.
  • Be responsible for resolving problems, identify area of improvements and recommend action when required.
  • Ensure high standards of housekeeping in the warehouse to ensure tidiness, safety and productivity.
  • Keeping stock safely stored in accessible locations.
  • Communicate all updates and progress to line manager to facilitate collaboration and effective planning.
  • Conduct any other duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse operation.
