Description

SALARY- NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE.

Purpose:
To lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the warehouse team, ensuring efficient, safe, and accurate handling of goods. The role is critical in maintaining high standards of service, compliance, and team performance in a warehouse environment.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

· Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, ideally in a supervisory or team leader role.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Good understanding of warehouse processes and health & safety regulations.
· Competent in using WMS and Microsoft Office applications.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Forklift license (desirable but not essential).

Responsibilities

· Supervise a team of warehouse operatives, including shift planning, task allocation, and performance management.
· Ensure all warehouse activities (goods-in, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns) are completed accurately and on time.
· Act as the main point of contact for courier collections, ensuring all shipments are clearly documented with reference numbers, destination details, and contact names.
· Support the Operations Manager in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and achieving operational KPIs.
· Train and mentor new staff, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards and company procedures.
· Liaise with internal departments (e.g. Internal Sales, Sub Assembly, Quality) to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
· Monitor stock accuracy and participate in cycle counts and audits.
· Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing health and safety procedures and conducting regular checks.
· Escalate any issues in a timely manner.
· To promote a positive and vibrant working environment
· To manage customer returns and supplier non-conformances.
· To review Warehouse errors and share outcomes with your team to drive improvements.
· Responsible person on site for Fire wardens and first aid.
· Key Holder.
