Description Under the direction of the Shipping / Receiving Warehouse Supervisor, the Shipping Warehouse Team Member is responsible for anticipating and meeting the Company’s evolving needs and objectives. The Shipping Warehouse Team Member assists with achieving daily production demand and ensuring proper storage of high-quality Wohlt Creamery products. Assuring safety, quality and performance objectives are a foundational expectation for this role. Requirements The list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management deem necessary. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards including but not limited to: Human resources, Good Manufacturing Processes, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Food and Drug Administration, Wisconsin Department of Agriculture Trade and Consumer protection, Safe Quality Food, and the United States Department of Agriculture. With the aim of achieving high performance, build a positive, team-oriented work culture and environment where continuous improvement, innovative and positive thinking, teamwork, positive behaviors, safety and security are natural outcomes. Develop required skills and knowledge to a level of depth appropriate to keep production as highly functional as needed to meet organizational goals and objectives. Work closely with Ellsworth Customer Service Specialist to ensure that all paperwork necessary for pickups is accounted for; this includes daily scanning of BOL’s, manifests and pick tickets. Work cohesively with Ellsworth Customer Service Specialist to communicate any returns and scan over all documentation that comes back with the product. Stacking of previous day’s production run into specified pallet pattern. Organize pallets in shipping bay to coincide with scheduled shipping departures. Thorough understanding and adherence to shipping policy when it comes to loading shipments and matching PO numbers to ensure accurate loads are shipped. Safely racking hot finished products into blast cooler. Maintain a well-organized and sanitary workspace according to the company’s required Good Manufacturing Practices. Promote a safe, secure, and positive work environment for all employees. Properly operate the scan gun in working with products. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. repetitively. Stand for up to 8 hours per shift. Other duties as appropriate or assigned. Education and/or Experience Requires High School diploma or GED and/or equivalent industry knowledge. Advanced knowledge and experience of food or dairy manufacturing a plus. Language Skills Ability to speak, read and write in English Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
