Description A Warehouse Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse by efficiently managing the flow of goods in and out, with both physical and systematical transactions. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse processes and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Accurately process incoming and outgoing shipments using existing warehouse management processes and systems. Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders and/or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped. Palletizing, crate building, labelling, scheduling and timing shipments. Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of all items to prevent damage. Assist in maximum space utilization and efficiency in the warehouse. Ensure all products are stored in a logical, organized and easily accessible manner. Utilize systems for inventory management and tracking shipments. Freight carrier interaction Collaborate with team members to optimize shipping and receiving processes and improve efficiency. Continuously evaluate processes and procedures to identify ways for improvement and cost reduction. Foster a team-oriented, organized, and safety-focused environment. Assists with other duties as assigned and/or any other tasks as assigned by Leadership. Requirements Experience with loading and unloading freight efficiently. Familiarity with order fulfillment processes. Knowledge of software for inventory management is a plus. Ability to operate forklifts and reach trucks safely within a warehouse setting. Strong order picking skills to ensure accuracy in fulfilling customer orders. Basic math skills for handling inventory counts and shipment calculations. Able to read and decipher a tape measure. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations. What we’re looking for: Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in warehouse, shipping and inventory processing.
