Description Warehouse Technician Reports To: Director of Operations Department: Operations Status: Full-Time/Onsite Position Summary The Warehouse Technician is responsible for receiving, organizing, tracking, and issuing materials and equipment used in broadband network construction and service delivery. This role also supports facility and site upkeep, grounds maintenance, and office supply inventory. The position requires strong attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to support both field operations and company facilities needs. Core Responsibilities Inventory Control & Accuracy • Maintain accurate inventory counts of network materials, hardware, electronics, tools, and supplies • Perform cycle counts and scheduled inventory audits • Track serialized and high-value equipment • Monitor stock levels and notify Director of Operations of reorder needs • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies Receiving & Material Handling • Receive and inspect inbound shipments for accuracy and damage • Verify packing slips against purchase orders • Label, tag, and properly store materials and equipment • Record all received items into the inventory tracking system • Coordinate returns and exchanges when required Job Staging & Field Support • Stage materials and equipment for construction, drops, and service installs • Build job kits based on work orders and material lists • Issue materials to field crews and contractors with documentation • Track check-out and check-in of tools and equipment • Support urgent material needs for service restoration and trouble tickets Facilities & Grounds Support • Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing, weed eating, spraying, and general exterior upkeep • Maintain warehouse and yard organization and cleanliness • Support light facility upkeep and operational readiness tasks • Assist with seasonal property maintenance needs Office & Supply Stock Control • Maintain inventory of office dry goods and consumable supplies • Monitor usage levels and restock as needed • Receive and store office supply deliveries • Coordinate reorder requests with management Warehouse Organization & Safety • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment • Ensure proper storage methods for fiber, electronics, and weather-sensitive materials • Follow safe lifting and equipment handling practices • Operate forklifts or pallet jacks as required Documentation & Systems • Maintain accurate digital and/or spreadsheet inventory records • Support process improvements for inventory tracking and control • Assist with material usage reporting by project or work order • Follow internal asset control and audit procedures Required Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent • 2+ years experience in warehouse, materials, facilities, or inventory roles • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills • Comfortable using spreadsheets and inventory tracking systems • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs • Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely • Valid driver’s license Preferred Qualifications • Experience in telecom, fiber, utility, or construction materials environments • Experience with serialized asset tracking • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) • Experience with grounds or property maintenance Skills & Attributes • Detail-oriented and process driven • High accountability and material control mindset • Self-directed and dependable • Clear communicator with field and office staff • Able to prioritize operational and facility support tasks • Practical problem solver Work Environment • Warehouse, yard, and office property environment • Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions • Frequent lifting, moving, and equipment operation • Combination of material handling and property upkeep duties
