We have an exciting opportunity, with lots of progression, for an enthusiastic Warehouse Technician to join our team at RDW Exhibitions.
RDW Exhibitions specialise in providing exhibition solutions to a wide range of clients throughout the UK and Europe. We design, supply and install modular and custom built stands and displays, for both hire and sale. We have a large number of clients from the agricultural, food and rural economy as well as those from industry, education and government.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We hold large stocks of modular display equipment which we prepare and pick for each exhibition stand. Full training will be given in the use and construction of all systems.

The role involves the following:

  • Picking and preparing all equipment ready for our stand technicians to deliver and install on site
  • Loading equipment into vans/transit cases/stillage boxes as required
  • Unpacking and stocktaking the items when they return from an event
  • Cleaning hire items and carrying out basic repairs before returning into stock
  • Receiving and recording deliveries, checking against delivery notes and ensuring there is no damage to items
  • Carefully prepare and package items to be sent out with couriers
  • Cleaning and organising vans
  • Keeping all stock in a neat and organised way
  • Keeping the warehouse in a clean, tidy and organised manner
  • Keeping accurate records of and organising client stock before and after an event
  • Assisting with other areas of the business when required, including on-site work during busy periods
  • Collections and deliveries using company van as required (subject to driving experience)

Candidate requirements:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Practically minded
  • Ability to work well under pressure, within a team and to tight deadlines
  • Keen to learn new skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise multiple jobs daily
  • Full driving licence and own transport essential
  • Experience driving large vans would be an advantage as would counter balance forklift licence
