Wendling, Inc. - Buckhannon, WV Position Type: Full Time Education Level: None Salary Range: $18.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Graveyard Job Category: Warehouse Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Warehouse Utility Associate is responsible for the continuous flow of day-to-day dock activities. This position is responsible for assisting in picking, staging, loading, and shipping products, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The Warehouse Utility Associate provides flexible support where needed to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Selecting cases and staging based on stop sequence • Backing Trucks into docks, loading trucks utilizing a motorized pallet jack, assisting with wrapping pallets, and dock clean up • Prepare and process routine forms and documents, such as truck maps, shipping labels, etc., following standard procedures. • Printing pick tickets and labels (ensuring all pick tickets and labels are printed and ready for the selection team) • Assist with the collection, tracking, and inputting data relative to operations metrics (including but not limited to; shorts, miss picks, dumps/damages, and service level) • Audit all outbound paperwork, cases, and weights to ensure accuracy. • Check documents for accuracy and completeness, cross-reference information. • Assist Transportation (help transportation in any capacity needed by management) Qualifications Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: • HS Diploma or equivalent, • Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. • Must have very strong urgency in meeting objectives and deadlines. • Requires the ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form. • Ability to complete tasks under standardized situations with occasional variables. Physical Requirements: • Physical ability to lift, carry, and position: up to 20 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally. • Must be able to push/pull up to 150 lbs. occasionally • Must be able to constantly bend, reach above shoulder, grasp objects, climb, kneel, squat, twist and stand throughout shift. • Confident and comfortable operating equipment at heights up to 30 feet • Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls. • Working in multiple environments including office and ambient refrigeration and freezer areas Work Environment: • Work hours may vary, or change based on department requirements. • The job is primarily performed in a warehouse environment • Regularly exposed to fast moving material handling and other mechanical equipment. • Occasionally exposed to wet and or humid conditions, high and precarious places, vehicle emissions, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions and high voltage electrical equipment. • Working in multiple environments including office, warehouse (can reach up to 100F) and ambient refrigeration (33-38F) and freezer areas (0- -20) for extended times • The noise level in the work environment is typically low.
