The Role We are seeking local Warehouse Workers for Holt Street, Pinkenba branch, to provide warehouse and distribution service to both internal and external customers. This a full-time position Monday to Friday (2-10pm or 6am-2pm). Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will aid in the day-to-day operations and activities in the Warehouse. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment with routine supervision and be able to understand detailed instructions. Areas of Responsibility Liaising with management, suppliers and customers with respect to stores’ operations. Weighing or shipping or receiving or delivery officer incorporating also dispatcher functions; Receiving, receipting, pick, pack and dispatch of spare parts and materials Conduct project work; Assist with inventory control; Prepare shipping documentation; Enter detailed data entry in Sandvik IT systems Undertake discrepancy investigation and implement corrective actions Conduct stock cycle counting and full stock takes; Implement quality control techniques and procedures. General warehouse maintenance and housekeeping. Your profile The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ warehouse/stores experience in a Heavy Mining or Equipment Manufacturing environment and a current Forklift license is essential. You will be comfortable with new systems and processes and adaptable to learning environments. You are computer literate in the Microsoft Office applications and comfortable with implementing and driving OH&S policies and procedures. You will have drive, flexibility, high level of energy and enthusiasm, display excellent communication and customer relations skills. Additionally, you are able to collaborate and work with members of the wider team. You are experienced with flexible shift work and rosters. Agencies need not apply.
