We are looking for a Warehouse Worker to join our Property Team at St Basil’s Homes.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Proven working experience as a Warehouse Worker
• Knowledge of locating and picking items, labeling and sealing and ability to pack them safely
• Proficiency using an inventory system
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a 3-month fixed term role reporting to our Maintenance Manager. Our Warehouse Worker plays an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouses. The main activities for this role include processing incoming and outgoing goods, picking and packing orders, and helping to maintain a well-organised warehouse.
We are seeking candidates who operate safely, effectively, and efficiently in a warehousing environment. We are looking for someone that rolls up their sleeves to get the job done, takes pride in their work.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Picking and packing orders, which involves collecting products and getting them ready for dispatch
• Checking incoming goods against invoices and inspecting them to ensure they are free of damage
• Unloading delivery trucks and unpacking the contents of packages
• Using warehousing machinery, such as forklifts, to lift, place and remove items on high shelves or racks
• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Keep a clean and safe working environment
• Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
• Any other duties assigned by your Warehouse Supervisor from time to time
