About This Position The Food Service Worker accurately and efficiently prepares a variety of food items in accordance with assigned work instructions and menus. This position also utilizes a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Verify accurate counts of products and supplies Maintain proper rotation of ingredients and refrigerated/frozen food items Load and unload trucks as necessary. May be assigned other tasks associated with the warehouse operation and/or kitchen as needed Stocks and organizes the warehouse. Follows sanitation and safety guidelines. Supervise and Direct Inmate Labor Order Paper, Cleaning, tools, & Food products based on menus Ensure delivery Vehicles are inspected Oversee and Manage Drivers duties Conduct daily and weekly inspections of areas Conduct Inmate and staff training Tool Control Schedule Preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment Support all deliveries to kitchens and orders Reconcile weekly usage report Other duties as determined by the needs of the business What You'll Need High school diploma or Equivalent, and you must be at least 18 years of age. 1 year or more experience in a food service role. Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is a plus. ServSafe Food Handler certification is preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Experience with safety procedures as typical in a cafeteria or food service environment.
