From your PASSION to ours Lactalis USA , part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Warehouseperson Trainee based in Buffalo, NY. Summary: Performs functions directly related to a distribution facility. Performs shipping and receiving functions as well as computer transaction daily. From your EXPERTISE to ours Key responsibilities for this position include: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Operates a Reach Truck in a safe and responsible manner. 2. Practices the highest standards of GMP’s and Quality Control procedures. 3. Documents safety checks on tow motor prior to use. 4. Ensures accurate documentation of all paperwork. 5. Completes activity movement sheets daily. 6. Rotates stock in a FIFO format. 7. Selects the proper product for customer orders. 8. Maintains a clean work environment daily. 9. Maintains and operates the RF terminals daily. 10. Performs monthly physical inventories as designated by the corporate staff, and performs cycle counts with the department manager. 11. Works closely with the production departments. 12. Maintains open communication between fellow workers. 13. Reports any product or property damage to supervisor. Requirements From your STORY to ours Qualified applicants will contribute the following: Qualifications: • Experienced forklift operation/knowledge. • Experience with a stand up deep-reach truck a plus. • Perishable and dry goods warehouse experience preferred. • Strong communication abilities, written and verbal. • Knowledge of computer software. Inventory control, cycle counts, and FIFO systems formats preferred. Education and/or Experience: • High School Diploma/GED. • Previous warehousing experience preferred.
