Description CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit agency, is looking for seasonal Warming Center Team Leaders(s). The Warming Center provides emergency overnight shelter for the unhoused from December through the end of March. The Warming Center provides a warm safe place for unsheltered individuals to spend the night during the winter months. Key Responsibilities Oversee the staff on shift to ensure the center operations are streamlined. Guide staff on how to manage escalated situations in a calm and effective manner. Assign tasks to staff and manage the schedule including finding coverage due to callouts. Promote wellness, recovery, and community integration as foundation concepts for center philosophy and activities. Greet guests and make them feel welcome and comfortable. Up to 28 hours per week | $100 Holiday Shift Pay on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day | No benefits 2 shifts available + On Call Rotation 1. 5:00pm – 12:00am 2. 12:00am – 7:00am Hourly Rate: $22.00 Requirements MUST have a valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record. High School diploma or GED equivalent + 4 years working at a nonprofit OR Bachelor’s degree in a mental health discipline. 2+ years in a supervisory role. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage crises. Time and project management skills. Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner. Proficient in MS Office products. Bilingual skills are a plus! Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring people who use their own life experience dealing with mental health/substance use issues to inspire and support others.
