Pelican is a successful family business with over 200 employees across multiple sites and are committed to continuous development of our people.
Due to continued growth we are seeking an additional Service Receptionist/ Warranty administrator with an automotive or transport related background for our expanding YUTONG site based in Castleford, West Yorkshire.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Experience in similar role within the motor industry.
· Write short correspondence and emails professionally.
· Great customer service skills and a professional manner.
· The ability to use mathematics in the role in calculating financials related to warranty claims.
· Microsoft Office skills including Excel

Responsibilities

Working within the warranty administration team, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting warranty claims to the manufacturer and/or distributor and reconcile them accordingly.
In fulfilling this role you will:
Liaise with engineers as required to obtain job information and paperwork, liaise with customers as required
· Working in a professional, organised manner, processing warranty claims on a timely basis. Including checking of engineer write ups and photo graph requirements.
· Process all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation and document trail.
· Open job cards as required
· Input all claim details into the dealer management system ready for invoicing.
· Keep yourself up to date on any factory recalls and other relevant information.
· Be responsible for verifying warranty criteria required by manufacturer or distributor.
· Assist with the resubmission of any rejected claims promptly or obtain authorisation to write-off.
· Assists with any other necessary admin duties in working with your team.
