Description
1.1 Job Scope Summary The Warranty and Predictive Maintenance Engineer reports to Outage and Technical Contracts Engineer and is directly responsible to coordinate, support and complete predictive maintenance activities to maximize the reliability of equipment using, systematic / analytical approach to troubleshooting, failure analysis, predictive maintenance and design improvements. Coordinate and manage Execute preventive maintenance plan by coordinating with Scheduler and work closely with maintenance engineers/scheduler to improve the availability of the installations by monitoring breakdowns, and improvements. 1.2 Job Responsibilities Compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental requirements Manages the Warranty and Punchlist items Identified by the O&M Team Perform condition-based maintenance surveys on plant equipment using vibration, thermography ultrasound and other techniques/technologies as appropriate Prepare reports to document inspections and recommendations for preventive actions Analysis of costs, breakdowns, Cause / Damage, installation downtimes and frequencies on critical equipment Elaboration and analysis of monthly reports on costs and breakdowns and define actions to improve the reliability and optimisation of critical equipment Review of predictive maintenance plans according to prior analysis from scheduler Ensure predictive work orders are completed as per schedule and recorded in the CMMS. Manage and follow up the technical documentation of the equipment (drawings, procedures, certificates...) Work closely with the execution teams for failure analyzes or improvement proposals Assist in supervising the activities of external technicians or sub-contractors in case required or during plant shutdowns. Assist in the preparation of budget for facility installation or maintenance Train, coach and mentor associated technicians using predictive maintenance techniques and use of predictive technologies Provide 24/7 support with unscheduled overtime including outside normal work hours Lead, special projects in maintenance activities that will improve the reliability of the equipment, optimize maintenance costs and reduce equipment downtime The above job duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature of the work and are not intended to be an inclusive list of all responsibilities. Duties and responsibilities may change or vary depending on the specific needs of the operations. 1.3 Educational / Professional Qualifications /Training Certifications Minimum degree in Mechanical / EICA Engineering Minimum CAT II certification in vibration and level 1 in thermography will be desirable 1.4 Job Experience Minimum 5 to 10 years cumulatively in power generation or similar heavy industry Minimum 2 to 5 years as a QA, Reliability or Predictive Maintenance Engineer Good knowledge of tools related to the study and measurement of equipment reliability rates and maintenance methods (FMEA, RCM, etc.) to define the actions to be implemented Computer skills: MS Office / CMMS Intermediate user Language: Advance level of English 1.5 Core Competencies Safety Focus: Encourages and support the team to be safe while at work and ensuring team adheres to workplace safety, regulations, standards, and practices Technical Expertise: In depth practical knowledge of processes and practices in own functional area Processing Details (Analysis / Reasoning): Identifies key facts in a range of technical works and mechanical principles.
