We are seeking a professional Warranty Clerk who has an eye for detail in this fulltime role based at our Mile End dealership. You will manage and process warranty claims through to completion in line with manufacturer guidelines, established procedures and timelines. As an integral part of the Service team, you will contribute to customer satisfaction and loyalty by seeking prompt and satisfactory resolution to all warranty claims.

Duties

  • Ensure all manufacturer authorisations are received prior to repair work being started
  • Cost all warranty jobs on a daily basis and communicate with the Service Department Manager accordingly
  • Manage the storage of all claimed warranty parts to manufacturers requirements
  • Ensure future bookings have all outstanding recalls and manufacturer updates added to job cards
  • Provide accurate invoices in a timely manner ensuring clear explanation of works completed
  • Ensure accuracy of customer, vehicle and billing details is recorded at all times
  • Verify the authenticity of warranty claims and investigate any discrepancies or issues
  • Review warranty claims to ensure they meet the criteria outlined by the manufacturer
  • Ensure w Provide support to all technicians to ensure service reports provide the required explanations of repair work completed as per manufacturers guidelines
  • Warranty claims and associated correspondence are documented fully in the company system

Skills & Experience

  • Microsoft Office Suite - computer literacy & data entry skills
  • Previous administrative/retail inventory experience in automotive industry preferred
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail, initiative and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Mathematic ability
  • Demonstrated business experience
  • Dealer Management Systems highly regarded
