SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· Strong understanding of desktop and laptop hardware.
· Proven ability to diagnose and repair faults, including replacement of motherboards, memory, SSD’s, power supplies, and screens.
· Experience building and upgrading computers.
· Good understanding of Windows 10/11 environments.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Warranty Manager, you will be a key member of our warranty field service team, responsible for carrying out onsite repairs of desktops, laptops and other computer devices manufactured by VeryPC. The role is primarily field based, with frequent travel to customer sites across the UK with occasional overnight stays.
When not out on a repair, you’ll be based at our Sheffield HQ, repairing returned devices, supporting warranty processes, and helping handle warranty enquiries from customers.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical ability, excellent problem-solving skills, and the confidence to represent VeryPC professionally while working independently at customer sites.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform onsite warranty repairs, diagnostics, and component replacements for VeryPC manufactured hardware.
· Carry out in-house repairs on devices returned under warranty.
· Organise and manage field stock, parts, and returns, ensuring faulty components are processed correctly.
· Act as the face of VeryPC on customer sites, delivering a professional and customer-focused service.
· Logging and triaging hardware issue reported to the warranty service desk.
· Carry out repairs to equipment damaged or identified as faulty during assembly.
· Liaise with suppliers and vendors regarding return of defective and faulty parts (RMA) when required.
· Maintain accurate records, job notes, and contribute to internal knowledge base documentation.
· Assist with onsite installations of desktops, servers, and related equipment as part of our deliver to desk service.
