The Role: Warranty Technician Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum Location: Peterborough Contract Type: Permanent Hours: 42.5 hours across 5 days (Monday to Friday) Are you a highly skilled technician with a passion for precision and problem solving? We’re looking for an experienced Warranty Technician to join our team, someone who thrives on complex repairs, values accuracy in documentation, and enjoys making a real difference to customer satisfaction. What will you be getting up to? Diagnose and resolve advanced faults using OEM diagnostic platforms and tools. Perform major mechanical repairs including engine and gearbox replacements. Conduct root cause analysis and ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards. Use specialist equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, smoke testers) for accurate testing. Complete final road tests, re-calibrations, and system resets. Accurately document all findings and repairs for warranty submissions. Liaise with customers to explain diagnostics and build trust. Support MOT testing and Pre-Delivery Inspections when needed. Mentor junior technicians and share best practices. Maintain workshop standards and compliance with DVSA and Health & Safety. What we're looking for: IMI Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified technician. Proven experience in advanced vehicle repairs and diagnostics. Strong communication skills, especially when dealing with customers. High level of accuracy in administration and documentation. MOT testing qualification (or willingness to support in this area).
