The Amynta Group is seeking an experienced quantitative analyst to join the Warranty Underwriting function to build, enhance and lead the warranty experience and pricing analyses for our warranty businesses. The warranty underwriting group is a dynamic team that is developing product pricing and monitoring underwriting performance for all warranty businesses across Amynta. Amynta has an array of businesses that sell and manage consumer, automobile and specialty equipment products. The warranty underwriting team works closely with business unit leaders and account managers to support new product development, underwriting performance management and product pricing analyses. The ideal candidates will be quick on their feet, detail-oriented, excited to take on ad hoc projects and able to quickly pivot from one project to another.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • The ability to self-start, work independently and drive projects forward in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced Excel user.
  • Experienced SQL user able to independently query and manipulate large data sets to develop business-relevant observations and conclusions and to support decision-making.
  • 3-5 years of P&C actuarial experience in reserving and/or pricing preferred

Responsibilities
  • Analyze warranty program profitability and present results to business leaders.
  • Lead pricing studies for new and renewal warranty customers and programs.
  • Work closely with the enterprise data team to build and enhance Amynta’s data analytics capabilities.
  • Work closely with corporate actuarial team to develop and deploy pricing strategies that are in line with aggregate actuarial indications.
  • Maintain best practices within the warranty underwriting group.
  • Streamline processes and encourage efficiency so that the team can focus its energy on projects that adds value to the Amynta organization.
