RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
* Assist WARSIM Manager in all aspects pertaining to the operation of WARSIM
and JCATS simulations systems to include installing, configuration and
updating software when required.
* Ensures the integration of hardware, software, programming, and database
tasks
* Ensures compliance with policies and procedures for system design,
programming, documentation, and testing
* Ensures the development and conducts technical programs for skill enhancement
and team cross training
* Monitors system performance during exercises and takes corrective actions
when required
* Reviews all program documentation and ensures compliance with hardware and
software system configuration management policies
* Ensures all communications between servers, remote sites, and clients are
fully operational
* Responsible for supporting on-site system testing to insure interoperability
solutions between US and Korean simulation models
* Coordinates the identification, resolution, and correction of hardware and
software problems
* Provides for checkpoints and recovery of databases
* Provides 24 hour coverage during exercise periods to include working shifts
when required to include night shift.
* Demonstrate a keen understanding of the importance of the need for
exceptional customer-contractor relationships.
* Maintain 100% equipment accountability at all times. This includes hardware,
software, and all system accessories.
* Operates WARSIM Tech Control Forward Suites and workstations, to include
installing, configuration and updating software when required
* Installs Combined Exercise Information Systems (CEIS) to include PC
Workstations, VOIPs, Printers, and VTC’s
* Assists in all other Technical Support Branch operations when required.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
* Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or 2
years of experience working with JLCCTC AND JLVC Modeling and Simulations
systems.
* Three years’ experience with at least 2 of the following: Linux, Window, and
UNIX operation systems, VMWARE.
* Experience with large-scale distributed JLCCTC, JTC, JTC-K and JLVC
simulation exercises.
* Demonstrate knowledge in Information Systems and Information Technology as
described and required by the task.
* Demonstrate a working knowledge of Red Hat Linux, VMWARE and Windows
- Understanding of large-scale distributed simulation exercises.
- Must maintain an active SECRET security clearance.
- Industry standard technical certifications for IAT Level II, IAW DOD
BPP05-PR-M-0002 and DoDM 8140.03 Cyberspace
Workforce and Management Program
Preferred Requirements:
* BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or 3
years of experience working with Modeling and Simulations.
Physical Requirements:
* Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting,
ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to
various degrees.
