Description Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Wash Bay & Lube Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for cleaning and detailing vehicles and equipment, and willing to learn to assist mechanics in such duties as oil changes and lubrication of equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow in the automotive or heavy equipment industry. Responsibilities/Essential Functions:? Operate pressure washers and cleaning equipment to wash vehicles and machinery. Ensure the wash bay area & shop remains clean, organized, and safe. Dispose of waste materials, such as used oil and filters, in compliance with environmental regulations. Follow all safety procedures and shop policies. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers or drivers. Assist mechanics and technicians as needed with basic tasks. Check tire pressure and perform minor tire maintenance. Perform oil changes, lubrication, and fluid top-offs on vehicles and equipment. Requirements Education & Experience Requirements: Previous experience in a mechanic shop, lube center, or wash bay is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and lubrication procedures. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in outdoor or wet conditions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Willingness to learn and take direction from senior technicians. Valid driver’s license required. Work Environment/Physical Requirements:? Lifting & Carrying: Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs (e.g., oil containers, tools, hoses, filters). Occasionally lift heavier items. Standing & Walking: Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the shift. Bending, Kneeling, & Stooping: Frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling while cleaning vehicles and performing maintenance tasks. Reaching & Manual Dexterity: Frequent reaching overhead and using hand tools for lubrication, tire maintenance, and cleaning. Pushing & Pulling: Moving heavy hoses, pressure washers, and other equipment. Climbing: May require climbing on and off equipment or using ladders to clean hard-to-reach areas. Exposure to Water & Chemicals: Frequent exposure to water, cleaning agents, oils, and lubricants. Outdoor & Indoor Work: May work in varying temperatures, including hot, cold, and wet conditions. Noise Levels: Exposure to loud machinery and power washers. Slippery & Uneven Surfaces: Working in wet conditions, requiring proper footwear and attention to safety.
