Direct Care Workers for Washtenaw Supported Living Program and Deake House Pathlight Community Services – Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor At Pathlight Community Services, our mission is simple: Quality Services for Quality of Life. As a Direct Care Worker (DCW), you will play a vital role in helping individuals maintain their housing, develop life skills, and improve their overall quality of life. POSITIONS AVAILABILITY * Two Part-Time positions available (Thursday-Saturday 8am to 4pm or Sunday -Tuesday 8am to 4pm) * Must be available to work weekdays and weekends QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the direct care, behavioral health, mental health, developmental disabilities, supportive housing, or human services field. * Valid driver's license with a good driving record. * Medication administration experience or certification preferred (Must be a Medication Passer). * Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Commitment to treating all individuals with dignity, respect, and compassion. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide compassionate care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, mental illness, and other barriers to independent living within our supportive housing programs. * Assist residents in securing, maintaining, and successfully living in stable housing environments. * Support residents with daily living skills that promote housing stability and long-term independence. * Assist with meal planning, meal preparation, and grocery shopping. * Assist with household organization and deep cleaning to help maintain safe and healthy living spaces. * Administer medications as prescribed (Must be a Medication Passer). * Transport residents to appointments, community resources, and other essential activities (Valid driver's license required). * Connect residents with community resources and supportive services that enhance their well-being and self-sufficiency. * Encourage participation in recreational and social activities that promote engagement, confidence, and overall wellness. * Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with team members to ensure quality care and support.
