We are currently seeking a Waste Collection Operative to join our team in Navan, Meath.
Responsibilities:
Carry out the safe and efficient emptying of domestic and commercial bins as per assigned route.
Ensure that contaminated or blacklisted bins are not collected.
Return bins to their original collection point after emptying.
Support the driver with collection tasks, including assisting with reversing and route familiarisation.
Maintain high standards of customer service at all times, ensuring courtesy and professionalism with the public and colleagues.
Complete all required paperwork and clocking in/out accurately each day.
Report any issues, incidents, or difficulties to the line manager promptly.
Comply fully with all company health, safety, and environmental policies.
Support in the training of new staff members as required by the business.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will have:
1–2 years’ experience in the Transport/Waste industry (preferred).
Manual Handling certification (essential).
Safe Pass certification (advantage).
Good written and verbal English communication skills.
Flexibility to work across different teams or work sections within the business.
Eligibility to work in Ireland.
A strong focus on safety, reliability, and teamwork.
