Job Description

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

IT skills-you need to be confident in using computer systems, including MS Office software are essential
Customer care-you will have the ability to deal sensitively with residents, businesses, Councillors, and other statutory bodies with the highest standard of customer care in potentially confrontational situations.
Social competence-you have excellent people skills and have a pragmatic approach to problem solving and conflict resolution. You must be able to communicate clearly and concisely
Knowledge-you must have good working knowledge of the Environmental Protection Act 1990; the Anti-social behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014; Control of Pollution Act and PACE

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will investigate “waste offences”, collecting evidence, witness statements, responding to service enquiries, MEQs FOIs, etc.
You must have experience of issuing fixed penalty notices (FPNs) and legal notices to individuals and businesses, prepare evidence and documentation for legal proceedings, ensuring cases are processed according to relevant regulations and have experience of using Community Protection Notices.
