Waste Engineer

We are recruiting for Waste Engineers to join Amentum’s waste consultancy team. You will understand and recognise the importance of radioactive waste management as a key enabler for delivery of operational, decommissioning, waste treatment, and disposal programmes and have experience of operating in a consultancy environment.
We are looking for experienced employees, who will provide a high quality and responsive waste consultancy support to a range of decommissioning, waste management and site infrastructure projects across Amentum’s client base.
Our opportunities are nationwide, and we are open to flexibility on location and blended working with customer sites with opportunities to travel.

Attributes we are looking for include:

• Ideally some experience of business development, tender preparation, and management of frameworks
• Knowledge of radioactive waste management across the full lifecycle
• The ability to develop creative solutions to challenging waste problems
• A collaborative approach to working with customers and suppliers, seeking win-win solutions
• A desire to continuously learn new skills and seek opportunities for development
• The drive to play your part in delivering environmental restoration and sustainable waste management solutions.

EXPERIENCE:

Ideally Degree Qualified or HND in engineering, science, or other appropriate discipline
Some experience of engineering, radioactive waste or consultancy
Previous experience in radioactive waste management and nuclear projects preferable
Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing work environment
Commitment to making a difference, and making a positive contribution to organisational and personal growth.
Successful applicant should be eligible and happy to go through the SC security clearance process.
