Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council is looking for someone to join our small, friendly and enthusiastic Strategic Waste team.
As a Waste Management Officer, you will make a significant contribution to how we currently operate and how we move to manage our waste more sustainably, whilst reducing our carbon footprint.

You will play an active role in a multi skilled and motivated team as we manage and renew our contracts and waste infrastructure, whilst keeping up to date with waste disposal technologies and government policy.
You will be involved in a wide range of duties from contract management, recycling initiatives and data analysis.
You will help through expertise and knowledge to support our waste strategy and policy development and implementation, as well as the in-house operation of recycling centres, waste transfer stations and our commercial waste business.
An essential part of your job will be to build strong relationships with other team members, senior officers, external partners, other departments and residents. You must therefore be a confident communicator.
