About the role In this role, you will provide technical, administrative, and operational support to the Commercial Collection Business and Public Litter Services within Waste Services. The role will focus on delivering exceptional customer service to commercial clients, managing financial accounts, overseeing debt recovery, and providing both technical and customer support for Public Litter Services. Key responsibilities include: * Provide assistance and support to Supervisor Commercial & Public Place Waste Collection Officer to ensure customer requests and complaints are addressed effectively, in a timely manner and in accordance the service commitments. * Maintain data basis relating to the commercial collection business. * Prepare monthly invoices for the commercial waste business including supporting documentation. * Investigate and resolve enquiries regarding landfill account usage and debt management in conjunction with the Finance area through use of the Weighbridge Software Administration and Reporting System. * Provide debt recovery support for the commercial collection business by effectively communicating with businesses on outstanding debt. * Coordinate the annual price and service information notification for commercial and landfill customers. * Assist in the review and improvement of information (pathways workflows, accounts systems) to ensure efficiencies and reporting are timely and accurate. About you To be successful in this role, you will have relevant qualifications and/or experience in a relevant field of employment, such as waste management, finance, customer service or business management. You will also have: * Experience in customer contact/public relations and the capacity to manage difficult customers. * Proficiency in the use of system networks, computerised databases, particularly customer-based systems, together with associated reporting and Microsoft software. * To be able to manage a debt recovery program using the statutory processes and to develop other methods of improving the amount collected annually. * Superior customer relationship skills to maintain business relations with commercial customers.
