  • Location: Ascot
  • £33,500 per year + excellent Sodexo benefits
  • 40hrs pw, Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30 with flexibility to work evenings and weekends in line with race days

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

  • Supervise segregation, storage, and timely removal of all waste across the site.
  • Manage external waste contractors, ensuring legal compliance, safety, and proper documentation (licenses, Duty of Care).
  • Maintain the service yard waste area to be safe, hygienic, and well-controlled at all times.
  • Ensure all waste operatives are properly trained and comply with legal and safety obligations.
  • Plan and implement raceday waste operations with the Soft Services Manager, including area preparation, post-event cleanup, and agency staff scheduling/training.
  • Drive recycling initiatives to increase recycling rates and reduce landfill waste, supporting zero waste goals.
  • Conduct COSHH and risk assessments, and maintain safe work procedures for all waste tasks.
  • Monitor health and safety compliance, including hazard reporting, equipment authorizations, and maintaining updated safety data sheets.
  • Prepare and manage weekly staff rotas within budget, monitor team attendance and sickness, and participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain strong client and contractor relationships internally and externally, attend relevant meetings and training as required
