Applications are invited for the position of Waste Services Assistant, based at Council’s Inverell Landfill. The successful applicant shall have the responsibility of, and will assist in a range of duties at Inverell Landfill and Council’s other Waste Management facilities; as well as assisting with animal welfare care and cleaning at the Inverell Impounding Facility. On a relieving basis, the Waste Services Assistant will be required to operate Council’s waste and recycling robotic arm collection trucks.

Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023. The classification for the position will be up to Operational Band 1, Level 3, Grade 4. Salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience, and will be in a range from $1,141.89 to $1,212.64 gross per week, inclusive of Level 2 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance of $1.288 per hour.
