Description Waste Solutions Specialist The Waste Solutions Specialist will be responsible for evaluating, classifying, and pricing various waste streams for proper disposal. This role ensures compliance with environmental regulations while optimizing cost-effective disposal solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hazardous and non-hazardous waste regulations, chemical compatibility, and disposal facility capabilities. Waste Solutions Specialist Job Duties: Analyze waste stream data including Safety Data Sheets, lab reports, and generator information. Classify waste according to federal, state, and local regulations. Prepare and submit waste profiles to disposal facilities for approval. Develop accurate pricing models based on waste characteristics, volume, transportation, and disposal methods. Collaborate with vendors and disposal facilities to obtain competitive pricing. Provide quotes and pricing proposals to internal teams or clients. Ensure all waste streams are managed in accordance with applicable environmental laws and company policies. Maintain accurate documentation and records for audits and regulatory inspections. Communicate with clients to gather waste information and explain profiling requirements. Coordinate with disposal vendors to ensure timely and compliant waste acceptance. Maintain databases of waste profiles, pricing, and vendor information. Generate reports on waste volumes, costs, and trends for internal use. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Requirements EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE • 3+ years of experience in waste management, environmental services, or hazardous materials handling. • Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, EPA, and state-specific waste regulations. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and waste profiling software. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Certification in hazardous waste management is a plus. PHYSICAL/ MENTAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing at times. The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 60 pounds. Must be able to frequently climb stairs and ladders. May occasionally deal with heights. Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, employees and managers. Effective conflict resolution abilities. Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form. Ability to read, write and do mathematics. Ability to wear Personal Equipment, including Respiratory Protection. Consist of both office setting and physical jobsite. Able to work in confined spaces when needed.
